In celebrating the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association's and Title IX's 50th anniversary, the IBCA had media and coaches select the 30 most impactful people in the state's men's basketball and the 30 most impactful people in women's basketball during the last 50 years.

Those who were selected for the Top 30 will be highlighted in alphabetical order, one person per week from each category, over the next 30 weeks.

The first players selected are Mark Aguirre, who played at Chicago Westinghouse, DePaul and in the NBA; and Brea Beal of Rock Island, who is currently playing at South Carolina.

The IBCA will be announcing two people each week for 30 weeks. To follow along, log on to https://il.nhsbca.org/news/top-30-week-1?hs_preview=UmSWYDdX-64163850355
