NORMAL -- Fremd senior guard Ella Burns won the IHSA Queen of the Hill 3-point shooting contest Saturday at Redbird Arena.

Burns, who on Friday won the Class 4A 3-point shooting contest, made 10 3-pointers to defeat the champions from the state's other three enrollment classes.

Fremd plays Saturday night for the state championship.

"It's an amazing feeling," she said. "It's awesome to be able to win this contest. But right now I'm just focused on hopefully bringing home the championship later today."

Burns has made 44 of her 107 shots this season from behind the arc.

"It was nerve-wracking," Burns said, "but also it just feels great for all of us just to just get to this point. It's almost less pressure in some ways because you're already here and you've made it this far. It's just a cool feeling."
