Gorecki needs votes

Earlier this week, Fremd graduate and Duke standout Haley Gorecki was selected one of 10 finalists for the 2020 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.

Now Gorecki needs help winning the award by voting for her each day through Feb. 21 at http://www.hoophallawards.com/women/vote.php.

Named after the first player, male or female, selected to an All-America Team in four straight college seasons, the annual award in its third year recognizes the top shooting guard in women's NCAA Division I college basketball.

Gorecki, a native of Palatine, is the only student-athlete nationally averaging over 18.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals. She has collected six double-doubles and eight contests with 20 or more points for the Blue Devils. On the year, Gorecki is averaging 18.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.1 steals.
