Stevenson knocks off Loyola at NU

RJ Holmes had 9 points and 12 rebounds, and Stevenson's boys basketball team picked up another quality win on Saturday night, beating Loyola Academy 35-31 at Northwestern University.

Evan Ambrose and Matt Kaznikov added 8 points apiece for Stevenson (18-4). Matthew Ambrose chipped in 7 points.


Loyola (23-3) received 7 points apiece from Jordan Kwiecinski (6 rebounds) and Matt Enghauser.

Crystal Lake South 51, Grant 44: Despite 19 points, including three 3-pointers, from Mikal Ashley, the visiting Bulldogs lost the nonconference game.

Luke Bedrosian and Chad Kiesgen (two 3s) each had 10 points for Grant (6-19).
