Libertyville's Moore earns MVP nod

Will Moore of Libertyville is this week's Daily Herald MVP for boys basketball.

Will Moore, Libertyville: Moore's performance against Zion-Benton was more than the Wildcats expected. The senior forward, after all, started for the first time since an ankle injury caused him to miss three games in a row. He finished with a career-high 27 points on 12-of-16 shooting, as the host Wildcats stung the Zee-Bees 78-69. He followed up by scoring 16 points in a 61-54 victory over Warren.

Jared Schoo, Schaumburg: Schoo put his best foot forward and poured in a career-high 21 points with 10 rebounds to lead Schaumburg past Fremd 45-35 in a Mid-Suburban West game, then he matched that point total the next night in the Saxons' 67-59 nonconference win in overtime against Larkin.

Ryan Isaacson, Hinsdale Central: Powered by their 6-foot-8 senior forward, the Red Devils stayed hot with a 59-57 WSC Silver victory over Oak Park-River Forest. Isaacson scored a game-high 31 points including a pair of 3-pointers and 7-of-9 free-throw shooting. He also grabbed 5 rebounds and blocked 3 shots.

Conrad Luczynski, Bartlett: The Hawks won consecutive games for the first time this season, fueled by double-doubles from their young center. The 6-foot-10 sophomore finished with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks in a 49-42 Upstate Eight Conference win at West Chicago. Two nights later he scored 20 points, hauled in 11 rebounds and blocked 2 shots in a 73-64 win at Larkin.
