Mundelein beats Waukegan, stays in first in NSC

Conor Enright had 14 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds, and Mundelein's boys basketball team defeated host Waukegan 51-39 on Saturday night to maintain its share of first place in the North Suburban Conference.

Scottie Ebube added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 blocks for Mundelein (19-3, 7-1), which shares the top spot in the conference with Stevenson. Trey Baker had 10 points and 3 assists, and Jack Bikus chipped in 5 points and 5 rebounds.

Lake Forest 51, Lake Zurich 37: The host Scouts improved to 14-9 and 6-3 in the North Suburban Conference.

Lake Zurich fell to 7-13 and 2-5 in conference.

Leyden 35, Vernon Hills 29: The hosts dropped the nonconference game to fall to 10-13.

Deerfield 56, Grayslake North 45: The host Warriors captured the nonconference game to hand the Knights their third loss in a row.

Grayslake North fell to 6-13.
