Libertyville winning streak hits 13 games

Margaret Buchert scored a season-high 21 points, and Libertyville's girls basketball team defeated host Waukegan 67-40 in North Suburban Conference action on Tuesday night.

Libertyville improved to 17-4 and 7-1 in the NSC with their 13th win in a row.

Emily Fisher added 11 points for the Wildcats, who also received 10 points apiece from Marianna Morrissey and Morgan Spaulding.

Stevenson 59, Mundelein 28: Avery King scored 12 points, as the host Patriots improved to 18-6 and 5-3 in the North Suburban Conference.

Simone Sawyer and Ava Bardic added 10 points apiece for Stevenson.

Mundelein's Morgan Frank led all scorers with 18 points and also had 7 rebounds. The Mustangs fell to 4-17 and 1-7 in the NSC.

Niles North 60, Lakes 40: The Eagles fell to 3-15 with the nonconference road loss.

Loyola 46, Lake Zurich 44: The host Bears dropped the nonconference game to fall to 11-7.
