Buffalo Grove goes to 6-0 in MSL East
Buffalo Grove's girls basketball team kept its record perfect in the Mid-Suburban East with a 49-39 win at Wheeling Tuesday night.
Leading the Bison (14-8, 6-0) were seniors Kendra Lee (20 points), Megan Fontanetta (9) and Macy Floro (9).
Fontanetta and Lee each had three 3-pointers.
Wheeling (4-19, 0-7) was led by Chloe Drozdz (19 points, five 3-pointers), Morgan Collar (9) and Sophia Stanke (6).
Barrington 51, Hoffman Estates 18: Taylor Thompson (20 points, 11 rebounds), Anna Mae King (8) and Sophie Swanson (7) led host Barrington (14-8, 5-1) in the MSL West.
"Taylor got us going offensively right off the bat," said Barrington coach Babbi Barreiro. "She rebounded well, too.
"It was also nice to see Anna Mae knock down some shots as she gets back into the swing of things. She has been working hard in practice and I know she is eager to make an impact for her team."
Ashley Oliver led Hoffman Estates (2-18, 0-6) with 11 points.
Conant 56, Schaumburg 52 (OT): The host Cougars (7-12, 2-4) prevailed in overtime as Isabella Tierney led the way with 21 points. Chikere Oduocha added 9 and Rachel Kutella (7) in the MSL West.
Alyssa Orozco paced Schaumburg (7-14, 2-4) with 23 points while Savannah Williams added 9.
