Carmel takes third at DeKalb MLK

Carmel Catholic's girls basketball team defeated Lincoln-Way East 54-26 in the third-place game of the DeKalb MLK tournament on Monday.

It was the Corsairs' second game of the day, which started with them losing to Rockford Boylan 60-58 in overtime. Carmel (16-5), which went 3-1 in the tournament, hosts St. Viator in East Suburban Catholic Conference action on Wednesday night.
