Lakes hands Round Lake first NLCC loss

Chance Andell scored 15 points, and Lakes' boys basketball team handed host Round Lake its first Northern Lake County Conference loss of the season, 47-42 on Thursday night.

Branden Nava chipped in 12 points for the Eagles (6-11, 2-2), who snapped a four-game losing streak.

Deveauntay McNeal and Hakim Williams scored 20 and 13 points, respectively, for Round Lake (13-5, 3-1).

Warren 51, Lake Zurich 49 (OT): Adnan Sarancic and Juan De La Cruz each scored 13 points, and the host Blue Devils needed overtime to win the North Suburban Conference game.

Warren improved to 5-9 and 2-3 in the NSC.

Will Tucker had 24 points for Lake Zurich (6-9, 1-3).
