Frank's seven 3-pointers pace Mundelein
Morgan Frank knocked down seven 3-pointers and scored 26 points, as Mundelein's girls basketball team defeated host Lake Forest Academy 62-37 in a nonconference game on Tuesday night.
Frank also had 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Mila Photopoulos added 10 points for the Mustangs (4-14), who also received 8 points and 5 rebounds from Allison Binz and 7 points from Damia Ali.
Grant 49, Lakes 35: The host Bulldogs improved to 12-7 and 6-0 in the Northern Lake County Conference.
Rosie Tekampe had 10 points for Lakes (2-14, 1-5), which also got 8 points from Ally Dietz and 6 from freshman Kendall Phelan.
"So proud of the hustle and heart from this team," Eagles coach Brian Phelan said. "We are getting better each [game]. Looking forward to when it clicks."
Wauconda 44, Round Lake 28: Ella Karg scored 13 points, Kiley Szmajda added 12, and the visiting Bulldogs captured the Northern Lake County Conference game.
Wauconda improved to 11-5 and 4-2 in the NLCC.
Karina Irigollen had 8 points for Round Lake (3-15, 1-5).
Grayslake North 50, North Chicago 48: Meghan Leahy scored a team-high 15 points coming off the bench, Eden Hartigan also provided a spark in a reserve role, and the visiting Knights won in Northern Lake County Conference action
Peyton Gerdes added 13 points, going 8 of 8 from the free-throw line for Grayslake North (8-11, 3-3). Leahy sank four 3-pointers. Hartigan scored 4 points. Meghan Delahunty had 7 points for the Knights.
