Grayslake Central, Round Lake net OT wins

Dillan Dumanlang scored 23 points, including all 4 of his team's points in overtime, and Grayslake Central's boys basketball team edged visiting North Chicago 51-49 in a Northern Lake County Conference matinee on Saturday.

Grant Hardy had 8 points for the Rams (7-8, 2-1), who have won five of their last six games.

Round Lake 84, Grayslake North 79 (OT): Hakim Williams scored 27 points, as the visiting Panthers prevailed in overtime to remain undefeated in the Northern Lake County Conference.

Isaiah Nixon (17 points), Deveauntay McNeal (16) and Kevonne Peterson (15) also scored in double figures for Round Lake (13-4, 3-0). The Panthers played without starters Nick Pierre and Jeremiah Jordan.

Grayslake North (4-8, 0-3) overcame a 53-49 deficit after three quarters to force OT.

Mundelein 65, Willowbrook 58: Trey Baker scored 17 points, sinking two 3-pointers and going 10 of 10 from the foul line, as the host Mustangs won the Lake Zurich MLK tournament game.

Conor Enright (four 3s, 3 assists) and Scottie Ebube (7 rebounds) each had 16 points for Mundelein (14-2), which had lost its last two games, including Friday's North Suburban Conference showdown against Stevenson.

Jack Bikus contributed 9 points for the Mustangs.

Wauconda 72, Lakes 41: Donovan Carter led all scorers with 18 points and made four of the host Bulldogs' 11 3-pointers in their Northern Lake County Conference win.

Benji Chung added 16 points, including three 3s, for Wauconda (10-3, 3-0). Garrison Carter (14 points) and Nick Bulgarelli (11) also scored in double figures. Garrison Carter and Bulgarelli sank two 3-pointers each.

Lakes (5-10, 1-2) received 8 points from Branden Nava.

Carmel 56, Austin 52: At Michele Clark Academic Preparatory in Chicago, Kimahri Wilson scored 15 points, and the visiting Corsairs picked up their second win in as many days to improve to 9-9.

Syone Usma-Haper added 14 points for Carmel, which has won three games in a row for the first time this season.

Carmel 81, Marian Central 56: On Friday night, Asher Jackson scored 17 points, including three 3-pointers, and the visiting Corsairs won the East Suburban Catholic Conference game in Woodstock.

Kimahri Wilson (13 points), Bryce Moore (12) and Kylen Beals (10) also scored in double figures for Carmel, which improved to 1-3 in the ESCC.
