Frank moves into 2nd on Mundelein scoring list

Morgan Frank scored 22 points, moving into second place on Mundelein's all-time scoring list, and the host Mustangs defeated Grayslake North 44-31 in nonconference girls basketball action on Thursday night.

Frank (four 3-pointers) also had 8 rebounds, 7 steals and 6 blocks. She moved past Susan Musselwhite (Class of 1989, 1,136 points) for second-most career points in MHS history.

Damia Ali and Ava Vogt added 8 points apiece for Mundelein (3-13).

Peyton Gerdes scored 19 points for Grayslake North (7-10), which beat Mundelein in its second game of the season.

Stevenson 68, Waubonsie Valley 51: Nikki Ware (season high) and Ava Bardic each had 16 points, and the Patriots picked up the nonconference road win.

Simone Sawyer and Avery King added 13 and 12 points, respectively, for Stevenson (14-6).

Lake Forest 45, St. Viator 32: Halle Douglass scored 20 points to lead the Scouts in the nonconference game.

Finola Summerville added 11 for Lake Forest (15-3).
