Prospect starts new year with win in Glenview

Prospect's girls basketball team began the new year by climbing above .500 with a 45-35 nonconference win over Glenbrook South on Wednesday night in Glenview.

Junior Eliot Dojutrek (14 points) and sophomore Andie Will (12) each reached double figures as Prospect raised its record to 8-7.

Sophomores Macy Zei added 7 points and Summer Srodulski added six for the Knights, who received three 3-pointers from Will and one by Zei.

St. Charles North 44, Palatine 38: Melanie Simon (10 points), Julianna Mandarino (9 points, three 3-pointers) and Madi Stark (8 points) led the offense for host Palatine (7-8) in the nonconference match.
