Murray nets 22 in Elk Grove win

Senior guard Megan Murray connected for five 3-pointers and poured in 22 points, one shy of her season high, as Elk Grove's girls basketball team made it back-to-back wins with a 53-40 nonconference win over visiting Willowbrook on Saturday.

Kaitlyn Ingebrigtsen added 11 points while Julia Masnica and Alyssa Trausch chipped in 7 apiece for the Grens, who improved to 7-5 with the nonconference win.

Rolling Meadows 53, Niles West 30: Senior guard Bridget Rolla scored 15 points and sophomore Madi Niedbala added 13 as Rolling Meadows (8-4) improved to 2-0 in the Libertyville tourney.

Niedbala also had two 3-pointers while Rolla, Sam Elenz and Emily Galvan each had one.

Conant 46, Mundelein 29: Conant (4-7) improved to 2-0 in the Libertyville tourney as Neeha Kakuturu (11 points, three 3-pointers), Chikere Oduocha (12 points), Isabella Tierney (7) and Rachel Kutella (7) led the offense.

Fremd 60, Oswego East 26: Visiting Fremd (9-2) led 19-5 after one quarter and never looked back in the nonconference game.

The Vikings made six 3-pointers, led by two from junior Grace LaBarge (9 points).

Senior Emily Klaczek, who scored a game-high 14 points), Grace Cox, Ella Burns and Anna Schmitt (7 points) also had 3-pointers.

Round Lake 46, Hoffman Estates 43: Hoffman Estates (2-14) was led by Nora Thomas (13 points, three 3-pointers) and Chiara Hurd (7) on the final day of the Northern Illinois Holiday Classic at McHenry High School.
