Bartlett junior Lexie Sinclair is this week's Daily Herald girls basketball MVP.

Lexie Sinclair, Bartlett: This 5-foot-8 junior guard capped a memorable week with 25 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds against Hersey to earn player of the game honors at the Chicagoland Invitational Showcase. The night before she became the 11th player in school history to reach 1,000 points with 20 points, 7 assists and 5 steals against West Chicago. She began her week with 16 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds against Streamwood.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                       
 

Ahniya Melton, Waubonsie Valley: The senior forward scored 17 points against Glenbard North on 6-of-10 shooting, also contributing 7 rebounds, 5 steals, 2 assists and 2 blocked shots. Against East Aurora Melton scored 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting, adding 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. The Warriors won both games.

Taylor Thompson, Barrington: For the second time this season, Barrington's senior forward put together back-to-back 20-point scoring games. The University of Missouri-St. Louis recruit netted 26 points in a 59-28 win over Hoffman Estates and came back the next day to score 21 points with 10 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots in a 49-36 win over Vernon Hills.

Molly Volkmar, Antioch: Scoring has been a struggle for the Sequoits the last couple of years. It wasn't for the senior guard last week. She sank four 3-pointers in the first half en route to a career-high 20 points, as the Sequoits beat Round Lake 57-27. She then made three 3s in the opening half against Richmond-Burton, finishing with 9 points in a 54-36 win. She had another 3 in a 45-25 victory over North Chicago.
