Bikus' 18 points lead undefeated Mundelein

Jack Bikus scored 18 points to pace four players in double figures, and Mundelein's boys basketball team remained undefeated with a 66-33 win over visiting North Chicago in nonconference action Wednesday night.

The Mustangs (5-0) also got contributions from Scottie Ebube (12 points, 6 rebounds, 5 blocks), Trey Baker (11 points), Conor Enright (10 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds), Chris Rooney (8 points) and freshman Chris Martin (7 points). Mundelein made eight 3-pointers, including three by Baker and two apiece by Bikus and Rooney.

North Chicago was led by Ricky Irby's 12 points.

Wauconda 73, Woodstock 44: Donovan Carter scored 26 points, as the Bulldogs won their home opener in nonconference action.

Nick Bulgarelli (6 steals) and Griffin Daun added 10 points apiece for Wauconda (3-2), while Benji Chung had 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assist. Jake Shanholtzer had 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 6 steals and 2 points.

Grayslake North 63, Badger 41: The Knights won their home opener, jumping out to a 17-5 lead after one quarter and extending their advantage to 35-12 by halftime.

It was the second win in a row for Grayslake North (3-2).

Lake Forest 45, Grayslake Central 42: Stephen Young scored 12 points, and the Scouts spoiled the Rams' home opener.

Grayslake Central fell to 0-5.

Warren 46, Westosha Central 39: On Tuesday night, Adnan Sarancic scored 28 points to lead the Blue Devils (2-3) in their home opener.
