St. Viator rolls in regular-season finale

St. Viator wrapped up the regular girls basketball season for Northwest suburban teams on Saturday night in Elgin.

And coach Jason Raymond's Lions did it just like they did for the majority of their 2018-19 regular campaign -- with a win.

They were triumphant for the 21st time in 28 tries with a 57-27 nonconference decision.

Freshman Joy Bergstrom and sophomore Emma Morrisey were the scoring leaders for Viator, which led 23-4 after one quarter and 40-12 at intermission.

They each scored 14 points while Elise Horbach senior added 12.

Bergstrom also had 5 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 assists while Morrisey collected 8 rebounds.
