Carter leads Wauconda past Antioch

Donovan Carter scored 24 points, going 9 of 10 from the foul line, and Wauconda knocked off host Antioch 67-57 in Northern Lake County Conference boys basketball action on Friday night.

Benji Chung and Nick Bulgarelli added 11 and 9 points, respectively, for the Bulldogs (10-11, 3-4), which had lost four in a row.

Dan Filippone had 19 points for Antioch (11-6, 3-2), and Robbie Christiansen scored 13.

Grant 61, Grayslake Central 53: Henry Kusiak scored 26 points, as the host Bulldogs won the Northern Lake County Conference game.

Hunter Waszkowski added 16 points for Grant (10-10, 4-1).

Grayslake Central fell to 7-11 and 2-3 in the NLCC.

North Chicago 87, Round Lake 78: Raeshaun Somoa scored 26 points to lead the host Warhawks to the Northern Lake County Conference win.

Round Lake (9-12, 0-6) received double-digit scoring from Hakim Williams (17 points), Deveauntay McNeal (16), Isaiah Nixon (16), Nick Pierre (11) and Kevonne Peterson (11).

North Chicago improved to 9-13 and 5-2 in the NLCC.

Grayslake North 46, Lakes 38: Ryan Connolly poured in 26 points to lead the host Knights to the Northern Lake County Conference win.

Tony Hines added 8 points for Grayslake North (10-9, 4-2).

Lakes fell to 4-14 and 2-3 in the NLCC.

Warren 52, Libertyville 46: Adnan Sarancic scored 21 points for the visiting Blue Devils in their North Suburban Conference win.

Sawyer Shrake added 12 for Warren (11-11, 4-4).

Libertyville (10-10, 3-5) got 15 points from Jackson Watson and 10 from Travis Clark.

Lake Forest 49, Lake Zurich 34: Crawford Bolton scored 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds for the host Scouts in the North Suburban Conference game.

Jake Fisher added 9 points and 8 assists for Lake Forest (8-12, 4-4).

Lake Zurich fell to 6-17 and 1-7 in the NSC.

Glenbrook North 63, Vernon Hills 41: Ryan Jacobson scored 17 points for the visiting Cougars, who fell to 6-16 and 0-7 in the Central Suburban League North Division.

The Spartans improved to 9-9 and 5-1 in the CSL North.
