Ambrose leads Stevenson past Lake Forest

Matt Ambrose scored 22 points to tie his season high, and Stevenson's boys basketball team defeated visiting Lake Forest 47-29 in North Suburban Conference action on Wednesday night.

Luke Chieng had 7 points for the Patriots (16-3, 6-1), who have won seven in a row. EJ Alexis contributed 6 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks.

Lake Forest (7-12, 3-4) was led by Jack Molloy (14 points, 5 rebounds) and Crawford Bolton (11 points, 4 rebounds).

Round Lake 68, Harvard 30: Isaiah Nixon scored 11 points to lead a balanced attack, as the host Panthers picked up the nonconference win.

Kevonne Peterson added 10 points for Round Lake (9-11). Deveauntay McNeal and Hakim Williams had 9 and 8 points, respectively.

Zion-Benton 55, Libertyville 52: The host Zee-Bees won the North Suburban Conference gam.

Libertyville, which had won six of its last seven, fell to 10-9 and 3-4 in the NSC. The Zee-Bees improved to 9-9 and 3-4.

Waukegan 88, Lake Zurich 74: The host Bulldogs improved to 18-4 and 6-1 in the North Suburban Conference.

Lake Zurich fell to 6-16 and 1-6.
