In its first game of the day, Round Lake defeated Thornridge 44-22, jumping out to a 12-0 lead after one quarter and taking a 24-4 advantage into halftime. Flade (two 3-pointers) and Emily Etherington each scored 12 points.

Libertyville 54, Dundee Crown 40: Lydia Crow and Margaret Buchert each scored 18 points, as the visiting Wildcats picked up the nonconference win.

Lauren Huber added 8 points for Libertyville (16-6), which won its third game in a row. Crow sank five 3-pointers, and Buchert made two.

"I was worried about our energy level with the snowy day and long bus ride, but the team came out on all cylinders," Wildcats coach Greg Pedersen said. "Dundee-Crown really adjusted well and we had to earn this one with defensive stops."
