North Chicago snaps Wauconda winning streak

Quencey Gilmore scored 20 points to lead North Chicago to a 69-66 win over host Wauconda in Northern Lake County Conference boys basketball action on Thursday night.

Raeshaun Samoa added 12 points for the Warhawks (7-12, 3-2).

Donovan Carter scored a game-high 21 points, going 10 of 10 from the foul line, to lead Wauconda (9-8, 2-4), which had its five-game winning streak snapped. The Bulldogs also got double-digit points from Nick Rinchiuso (12), Nick Bulgarelli (10) and Connor Brannick (10).
