Larkin clinches Elgin City title
With a 50-36 win over St. Edward on Wednesday night, Larkin secured the title of the Elgin City Classic girls basketball tournament.
The Royals defeated Elgin last week and Harvest Christian on Monday.
Brianna Young led the Royals with 27 points. Aaliyah Dixon added 15 points.
Samantha Ottinger made five 3-pointers and scored a team-high 17 points for St. Edward.
Westminster Christian 41, Harvest Christian 28: Grace Schmitt and Kelly Bickhart each scored in double digits with 14 points and 10 points, respectively, propelling Westminster Christian (5-13) to a win at the Elgin City Classic. Maddy Martin led the offense for Harvest Christian with 18 points.
