Grayslake Central's Bullman earns MVP award

Kate Bullman of Grayslake Central is this week's Daily Herald girls basketball MVP.

Kate Bullman, Grayslake Central: The 6-foot-2 junior forward/guard has raised her game to another level in her third varsity season, dominating games at both ends of the court. She scored 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a 46-32 victory over host Glenbrook North, then followed up with 21 points and 17 boards, as the visiting Rams defeated Grant 61-35.

Taylor Huff, Glenbard West: The 6-foot-2 junior had 13 points and 9 rebounds against York. She followed that with 11 points and 5 rebounds against Hinsdale Central and 15 points and 10 rebounds vs. Proviso West as the Hilltoppers claimed three victories to stay atop the West Suburban Conference Silver Division.

Erin Golden, Batavia: The Bulldogs ran their winning streak to five games with two more victories last week. Golden, a 5-foot-9 junior guard, is averaging 18.2 points per game in the streak. Last week she totaled 17 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals in a 48-23 win over St. Charles North, then had a team-high 13 points, 10 rebounds and 3 steals in a 40-36 victory over Wheaton North.

Angela Dugalic, Maine West: The 6-foot-4 junior helped lead the state's top-ranked Class 4A team to its sixth win in the Central Suburban North without a loss thanks to a 62-17 triumph over Glenbrook North. Dugalic connected for a game-high 22 points and pulled down 16 rebounds as West won its 22nd straight game.
