Raygoza, Flade lead Round Lake to victory
Giselle Raygoza and Diane Flade each scored 13 points, and Round Lake's girls basketball team defeated host North Chicago 54-34 in Northern Lake County Conference action on Friday night.
Courtney Greenwood added 7 points for the Panthers (11-8, 5-3).
Grayslake North 50, Lakes 46: Savannah Guenther had 19 points to lead the host Knights in Northern Lake County Conference action.
Jordyn Gerdes and Morgan Atwell added 9 and 7 points, respectively, for Grayslake North (8-12, 4-3).
Lakes (8-11, 2-5) was led by Sara Smith's 21 points.
Lake Zurich 57, Warren 50: On Junior Bears Night, Margueret Spear scored a career-high 23 points, going 12 of 12 from the foul line in the North Suburban Conference game.
Anna Biergans and Ella Gilbertson scored 10 and 9 points, respectively, for Lake Zurich (10-12, 5-3).
Warren fell to 5-15 and 2-6.
Vernon Hills 46, Maine East 28: Piper Bedell had 14 points and 5 rebounds, Kayla Caudle posted 11 points and 19 rebounds, and the visiting Cougars won in Central Suburban League North Division action.
Lauren Shores contributed 9 points and 4 rebounds for Vernon Hills (11-8, 5-1).
Maine East fell to 5-12 and 2-5.
Mundelein 64, Latin 59 (2 OT): The visiting Mustangs won the nonconference game in two overtimes to snap a four-game losing streak and improve to 7-14.
