Hoffman pulls away from Jacobs
Host Hoffman Estates outscored Jacobs 22-8 in the third quarter to pull away to a 52-34 nonconference girls basketball win on Wednesday night.
Freshman Ashley Oliver led the Hawks with a season-high 16 points, including a 3-pointer and 3 free throws.
Sophomore Ana Sturgis added 11 points with a pair of 3-pointers while senior Berry Chukwuyem also reached double figures with 11 points.
Senior Kate Mongold added 6 points and junior Patricia Wadas 5 for the Hawks (5-13).
