Balanced attack leads Wauconda past Round Lake

Donovan Carter scored 19 points to lead five players in double figures, as Wauconda's boys basketball team defeated visiting Round Lake 84-66 in Northern Lake County Conference action on Tuesday night.

Wauconda (7-7, 1-3) also received 16 points from Nick Rinchiuso, 13 from Connor Brannick (7 assists), 11 from Nick Bulgarelli and 10 from Benji Chung. Carter also had 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

Hakim Williams poured in 34 points for Round Lake (7-9, 0-4).

Carmel 63, Lakes 42: Kimahri Wilson and Johnny Roeser scored 17 points apiece for the host Corsairs in the nonconference game.

Bryce Moore added 11 for Carmel (12-8), which had lost three in a row.

Lakes fell to 3-12.

Antioch 68, Vernon Hills 49: Dan Filippone scored 31 points, as the host Sequoits won in nonconference action.

Austin Andrews added 11 for Antioch (10-5). Filippone sank two 3-pointers and went 11 of 13 from the foul line.

Vernon Hills fell to 4-13.
