Palatine, Maine West post wins
Brandon Hernandez scored 13 points Friday night to lead Palatine to a 43-35 Mid-Suburban League West boys basketball victory over Barrington.
Ben Storm added 10 points for the Pirates.
Aaron Sarker had 12 points and Jason Boock added 9 for Barrington.
Maine West 74, Vernon Hills 61: Danny Rice (17 points), Isaiah Siem-Davis (14) and Danny Kentgen (13) led Maine West (5-4, 2-2) to the Central Suburban League win.
