South Elgin wins 5th straight

Megan McClure had 20 points, leading all scores for South Elgin (5-3, 3-0) in a 74-39 win over West Chicago in Upstate Eight action. Casey Brennan added 18 points for the Storm.

St. Edward 55, Rosary 45: Brooke Biggins scored 17 points and Madeline Ellsworth added 16 for St. Edward.

Zoe Ketterman paced Rosary with 17 points.

Aurora Central Catholic 35, IC Catholic Prep 30: Delani Kosner had 12 points and 8 rebounds to lead Aurora Central Catholic. Lara Anger added 4 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

Cary-Grove 43, CL South 29: Emily Rich and Maddie Scharrenberg led the offense for CL South (2-5, 1-2) with 5 points. Ava Sevcik added 4 points for the Gators, including a basket from 3-point range.

Aurora Christian 53, Elmwood Park 24: Aurora Christian (5-3, 3-0) was led in scoring by freshman Lexi Lamanna who scored a career-high 20. Mia Richert added 12.

McHenry 60, Huntley 39: Huntley (2-5, 0-3) was led by Kamsi Nwogu with 12 points and Anna Seng with 10 points. Syd Novak added 8 points for the Red Raiders.

St. Charles North 40, Palatine 32: Anna Tate led St. Charles North with 13 points. Emma Ludwig also kicked in 8 points in the win for the North Stars (5-2).

West Aurora 74, Elgin 42: Dajour Miles scored 26 points for West Aurora to lead her team to victory. Elgin (2-6, 0-3) was led by Emily Graves with 7 points, and Gigi Kilbert with 6 points.
