Grayslake Central, Libertyville win at Buffalo Grove

Kate Bullman scored 14 of her game-high 16 points in the first half, and Grayslake Central's girls basketball team defeated Harlem 49-21 in the Buffalo Grove Thanksgiving tournament on Saturday.

Rosie Drevline added 13 points for the Rams (3-2, 2-2 tourney), who led 17-7 after one quarter and 31-13 at halftime. Bullman and Drevline each sank a 3-pointer.

Grayslake Central concludes the tournament against Hersey at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Buffalo Grove.

Libertyville 43, Buffalo Grove 27: At Buffalo Grove, sophomore guard Lauren Huber scored 9 of her game-high 15 points in the third quarter, as the Wildcats won their third game in a row.

Margaret Buchert added 9 points for Libertyville (3-1, 3-1 tournament), which outscored the Bison 11-2 in the final quarter.

"We had a fantastic run at the end of the third quarter and beginning of the fourth quarter," Wildcats coach Greg Pedersen said. "We managed to keep the lead we built against a skilled Buffalo Grove team."

Libertyville plays Maine South at 1 p.m. Saturday at Buffalo Grove in its final game of the tourney.
