Kaneland, Cary-Grove post regional wins

Blake Feiza scored 13 points Monday night to lead Kaneland's boys basketball team to a 53-42 win over IMSA in the opening round of the Class 3A Aurora Central Catholic regional.

Rhett Espe added 11 points and Matt Olson had 8 for the seventh-seeded Knights (11-18), who take on top seed Burlington Central (25-3) Tuesday night in the semifinals.

Cary-Grove 58, Huntley 49: Sam Carhart had 20 points and Beau Frericks added 14 as the Trojans (14-13) moved on to meet top seed Jacobs (24-3) in Tuesday's semifinals of the Class 4A Dundee-Crown regional. Davis Pasco led Huntley (6-23) with 11 points.
