Bartlett, Kaneland, Batavia post wins

Kayla Hare scored 24 points Saturday as the Bartlett girls basketball team put the finishing touches on an undefeated Upstate Eight Valley season with a 65-44 win over West Aurora.

Lexie Sinclair added 13 points, Danielle Kleeman had 12 and Justina Hernandez 8 for the Hawks (19-10, 10-0), who open the postseason Tuesday against Batavia at the Class 4A Schaumburg regional.

Olivia VanderWoude led West Aurora (18-8, 7-3) with 14 points and Kyanna Rogers added 9.

Kaneland 61, Geneseo 50: Jamie Martens hit for a career-high 25 points to lead the Knights (24-4) to a Northern Illinois Big XII crossover win. Jenni Weber added 21 points for Kaneland, which takes on St. Edward Tuesday in the opening round of the Class 3A Sycamore regional.

Batavia 72, Larkin 34: Hailey Orman scored 17 points including hitting five 3-pointers as the Bulldogs (17-11, 10-2) won in the Upstate Eight River on their Senior Day. Ava Sergio added 12 points to the win while Allison Newberry had 11, Geddy Rerko 10 and senior Paris Chaney 7.
