Amalia Figuero enjoyed her Senior Night by leading Leyden's girls basketball team with 17 points in a 56-25 win over Ridgewood on Thursday night in Northlake.

Coach Stephanie Kuzmanic watched the Eagles (10-15) close out the regular season after honoring seniors Figuero, Pamela Colmenares, Megan Michorczyk and Alexia Samuel before the nonconference game.

Leyden benefitted from its outside shooting as Michorczyk, junior Jenny Alcaraz, junior Jasmine Igartua, freshman Yaritza Frias and Figueroa all connected for 3-pointers.

Friday postponement: State-ranked Maine West's game at Vernon Hills has been postponed from Friday to Saturday at 11:30 a.m. due to the inclement weather predicted for Friday. The Warriors (25-1, 9-0) are shooting for a second straight 10-0 record in the Central Suburban North.
