Barrington outscores Marian Central

Barrington's balanced scoring was too much for visiting Marian Central Catholic in a nonconference boys basketball matchup Tuesday at Barrington.

Senior forward Jack Reinhard led the way for the Mid-Suburban West leaders with 16 points in a 72-55 decision.

Jason Boock made a pair of 3s and finished with 12 points for Barrington (17-4), and Anthony Spann had 10 while Mark Johnson and Jake Parson had 9 apiece.

A.J. Golembiewski canned five 3s and finished with a game-high 24 points for Marian Central Catholic.

Barrington has won five straight heading into Friday's Mid-Suburban West matchup at Conant.

Libertyville 67, Hersey 41: Drew Peterson scored 32 points as the Wildcats (13-7) defeated visiting Hersey in nonconference action for their third win in a row.
