Buffalo Grove takes control at Grayslake North

Buffalo Grove's boys basketball team picked up a 73-62 victory Saturday in nonconference play at Grayslake North.

The outcome wasn't in much doubt after the Bison opened up a 25-5 lead after the first quarter and led by as many as 22 in the fourth.

Jack Vaselaney paced a balanced Bison scoring effort with 24 points. Next for Buffalo Grove came Caleb Mayhorn (14 points), Zach Fricke (11), Mac Camardo (10) and Tom Trieb (9).

The Bison (9-7) next have a Mid-Suburban League crossover game Tuesday at Palatine, followed by their return to East Division play Friday at home against Elk Grove.

St. Viator 85, Mather 61: The Lions (12-3) rolled in tournament play at home on Saturday afternoon.
