Stevenson stays perfect with victory at Lake Forest

Stevenson's boys basketball team was victorious in its North Suburban Conference opener on Tuesday and remained unbeaten this season after a 45-35 victory at Lake Forest.

Jackson Qualley led all scorers with 15 points for the Patriots (5-0, 1-0), and Samvit Ram had 12 points and 2 steals. Other key contributors for Stevenson were Nick Bon (7 points, 7 rebounds), Trey Baker (6 points) and Luke Chieng (5 rebounds, 3 assists).

Lake Forest slipped to 3-3 overall and 0-1 in the NSC.

Mundelein 67, Zion-Benton 56: The Mustangs picked up a road victory to improve to 5-2 overall.

Tommy Marcotte led the way for Mundelein with a game-high 25 points and teammate Jeff Bikus had 12.
