Geneva wins again, moves to 4-0

Margaret Whitley scored 13 points Monday night to lead the Geneva girls basketball team to a 54-34 win over Glenbard North at the Glenbard East tournament.

Stephanie Hart added 11 points for the Vikings (4-0) and Maddie Yelle had 10.

Kaneland 43, Belvidere 30: Hannah Armin scored 10 points while Jamie Martens added 9 points and 6 rebounds to lead the Knights (3-0) at the Wauconda tournament. Keely Noel contributed 8 points for Kaneland. Martens and Jenni Weber were named to the all-tournament team.

St. Ignatius 48, St. Edward 42: At the Hinsdale South tournament, Mariel Franco had 14 points to lead St. Edward (0-2). Yssa Sto. Domingo added 10 for the Green Wave and Madison Knott had 9.

West Aurora 65, Rockford Lutheran 54: Dajour Miles scored 22 points and Kiyanna Rodgers added 13 to lead the Blackhawks to a win at the War-Hawk tournament.

Addison Trail 52, Elgin 50: Dajha Cooper had 16 points and Kylie Graves added 12 for Elgin (0-3) at the Fenton/Addison Trail tournament.

Lake Zurich 40, Cary-Grove 36: Katie Sowa scored 15 points and Abby Getka added 10 for Cary-Grove at the Lake Zurich tournament. Sowa now has 956 career points.
