Stevenson senior to perform at basketball tournament
Stevenson High School senior Samhita Madduru has been selected to sing the national anthem at the Illinois High School Association Class 1A and Class 2A boys basketball state tournament next month, the Lincolnshire school announced.
Madduru, a three-time all-state vocalist, will perform the anthem March 13 in Peoria.
Madduru recently sang at the Illinois Music Education Association all-state music festival in Peoria.
