Novak, Grayslake Central edge Wauconda

Alec Novak scored 15 points, including three 3-pointers, and Grayslake Central's boys basketball team beat host Wauconda 44-34 in Northern Lake County Conference action Thursday night.

Sidney Goodman added 9 points for Grayslake Central (10-15, 6-7), which trailed 14-11 at halftime before outscoring the Bulldogs 22-7 in the third quarter.

Kyle Drobnik had 13 points and 8 rebounds for Wauconda (8-17, 4-9), which lost its sixth game in a row. Jarod Stonis was held to 4 points.
