Cary-Grove topples Crystal Lake South

Zach Beaugureau scored 16 points Tuesday night to lead Cary-Grove (10-7, 5-3) to a 50-40 Fox Valley Conference boys basketball win over Crystal Lake South.

Kyle Leva had 14 points for the Gators (8-11, 4-4).

McHenry 57, Hampshire 46: Tre Powell had 12 points and Billy Dumoulin added 8 for Hampshire (4-15, 1-8) in this FVC loss.

Timothy Christian 65, St. Edward 59: Kelvin Cortez-Harvey scored 29 points for St. Edward in its Metro Suburban Blue loss. AJ Franklin and Liam Jackson added 11 points each for the Green Wave (9-13, 3-3).

Kaneland 37, Morris 36: Jake Hed led the Knights (5-15, 2-4) with 11 points in the Northern Illinois Big 12 East win.

Harvest Christian 76, Christian Liberty 47: In the Northeastern Athletic Conference, Grant Young had 18 points to lead Harvest to the win. Jack Nohava added 12 points for the Lions (16-4, 7-0) while Mark Davila and Brennen Woods had 10 each.
