Justin Smith had 25 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists, as Stevenson's boys basketball team rebounded from its tournament-opening loss to beat Crete-Monee 65-46 Wednesday in the Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic.
Willie Herenton added 14 points for the Patriots, while Aidan O'Connell had 7 points and 9 rebounds for Stevenson (8-2, 1-1 tourney), which will play St. Viator at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Lake Zurich jumped out to a 17-6 lead after one quarter, was up 23-10 at halftime and 40-20 after three. Peter DiCerbo and Michael Bens added 10 and 9 points, respectively, for the Bears.
Wauconda 61, Woodstock 40: At Marengo, Jarod Stonis poured in 29 points, including three 3-pointers, and added 4 steals and 2 blocks in the Bulldogs' tournament finale.
Kyle Drobnik had 10 points for Wauconda (5-10, 2-2 tourney), which won for the second day in row. Jimmy Ott contributed 8 points and 5 assists.

Tommy Marcotte scored a game-high 17 points and dished out 4 assists for Mundelein (2-9, 0-2), which plays Eisenhower at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Marcotte and James Willman (10 points, 8 rebounds) each sank a pair of 3-pointers.
Harlem 46, Grayslake Central 41: At DeKalb, the Rams let a 35-29 lead after three quarters slip away on Day 2 of the Chuck Dayton Holiday Classic.
Jack Spalding scored 15 points for Grayslake Central (4-7, 0-2 tourney), which got outscored 17-6 in the fourth. Spalding and Billy Drevline each hit two 3-pointers.
Normal West 45, Lake Zurich 39: Late Tuesday night at Pekin, the Bears lost their tournament opener.
Ryan Kutsor, who missed most of Lake Zurich's last game on Dec. 15 against Warren with a right hand injury, scored a game-high 22 points. The junior guard shot 8 of 15 from the floor, including 6 of 10 from three-point range.
Michael Bens had 8 points for the Bears.
