The Fremd High School girls basketball team members got a rousing send-off from their fellow Vikings Wednesday afternoon as they prepared to embark for the state semifinal against New Trier Friday night at Illinois State University's Redbird Arena in Normal.

This will be the Fremd team's first trip to the IHSA Final Four in 38 years.

The team won its trip downstate with its 50-34 victory over Huntley in the Class 4A Hoffman Estates supersectional Monday night.
