Girls basketball / Lake County roundup

Stevenson and Lake Forest were raining 3-pointers in Saturday night's North Suburban Conference Lake Division girls basketball game.

The two teams made a combined 25 shots from beyond the arc. Stevenson sank a school-record 13 en route to an 81-59 win.

Stevenson freshman Kiana Cencula also set the school mark for 3-pointers in a game with five. She finished with a season-high 15 points. Sophia Way hit four 3s and scored a game-high 17 points to lead Stevenson (16-1, 6-0). The Patriots also received 16 points from Ashley Richardson, 12 from Taylor Buford and 9 from Janine Fajardo.

Lake Forest (9-8, 2-4) got five 3-pointers from Katie Hanson, whose 15 points led the Scouts. Brooke Green added 12 points (two 3s) and Grace Torkelson scored 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.

Bishop McNamara 59, Carmel 47: Alexa Amato scored 16 points to lead the host Corsairs in their East Suburban Catholic Conference loss.

Emma Rappe had 12 points for Carmel.

Zion-Benton 42, Libertyville 25: The visiting Wildcats dropped their third game in a row, their longest losing streak of the season.

Becky Deichl's 9 points led Libertyville (11-7), which fell to 4-2 in the North Suburban Lake.
