Basketball Focus
Tom Blanchette scored 17 points, and Grants boys basketball team reached the .500 mark with a 79-51 win over host Round Lake on Friday night.
Ryan Noda and Steve Dunning added 11 points apiece, as the Bulldogs won the North Suburban Prairie finale to even their record at 13-13 overall. They finished 6-6 in the division.
Round Lake (4-21, 2-10) got 20 points from Karnell Wright and 14 from James Mobley.
Woodstock North 67, Grayslake Central 53: Danny Reeds 17 points led the visiting Rams, who fell to 4-20 and 2-9 in the Fox Valley Fox.
Grayslake Central received 9 points apiece from Malcolm Reed and Alex Lennartz.
Crystal Lake Central 55, Grayslake North 54: Brad Knoeppels 15-footer with 25 seconds left lifted the visiting Tigers in the Fox Valley Fox game.
Grayslake North (14-11, 4-7) missed a couple of free throws down the stretch.
Wauconda 63, Antioch 33: The host Bulldogs won the North Suburban Prairie finale, as Austin Swenson had 17 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists.
Wauconda (13-13, 6-6) also received 16 points from Kodey Thomas.
Antioch (2-22, 0-12) was led by Tyler Innis with 13 points.
Lake Forest 54, Lake Zurich 36: The host Scouts captured the North Suburban Lake finale.
Lake Zurich (14-14) finished 4-8 in the NSC Lake.
