IC Catholic Prep wins easily
Led by Demetrius Carrs 21 points, IC Catholic Prep beat Guerin 71-47 Friday in the Suburban Christian Conference Gold Division. Joining Carr in double figures were Clark Brinkman with 17, Sean Sutton with 14 and Rhashaun Epting with 13. Paired with St. Edwards 68-64 win over Montini, IC (16-4, 6-1) is in a first-place tie with the Broncos in the SCC Gold.
Herscher 47, Lisle 37:
Wrapping up the Interstate Eight Conference Tournament, No. 2 seed Lisle (11-11) finished in fourth with the loss to No. 4 Herscher (11-8). Dawon Burrell led the Lions with 18 points while all-tournament selection Cody Monson scored 6. In the tourneys seven years Seneca (18-3) became the first No. 1 seed to win the title, 50-34 over No. 3 Westmont (12-9).
