Grahams late 3 sinks Hoffman Estates
Glenbard West sophomore Claire Graham hit three 3-pointers, including the game-winner with 12 seconds left, to lift the host Hilltoppers to a 47-45 triumph over visiting Hoffman Estates in nonconference girls basketball action Monday.
The Hawks led 45-44 when Graham connected for the game-winner. She finished with a team-high 11 points.
Old Dominion-bound Destinee Young led the Hawks (9-6) with 22 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists while teammates Becca Stoczynski added 8 points and Andrea Wolinski 6.
St. Viator 46, Chicago Academy 21: St. Viator (12-8), coming off a championship in its own Snowflake Classic, got underway in the Fenton tourney by rolling past Chicago Academy. Coach Christina Josts Lions have won seven straight games.
