Waubonsie Valley 58, Huntley 41: Friday's game was a tale of two halves as the Red Raiders (2-1) carried a 10-point lead into halftime, and then collapsed in the second half, falling to Waubonsie Valley 58-41 at the Warkhawk Tournament. Huntley was outscored 36-10 in the final two quarters of play to lose its first game of the year.

Katherine Lowery and Hillary Johnson paced the Red Raiders with 12 and 9 points, respectively, as all of their points were scored in the first half of play. Cecilia Tsevas also added 9 points.

Maine South 53, Crystal Lake South 46: The Gators (2-3) fought until the end, but were unable to mount a large enough comeback as they suffered a 53-46 loss to Maine South at the Bison Invite.

Michelle Gaede led all scorers with 18 points to go along with her 4 rebounds. Molly Benoit just missed a double-double with 12 points and 8 rebounds while Katie Burton added 10 points and 4 boards.

Antioch 59, Elgin 30: The Maroons (0-4) remained winless as they struggled to a 59-30 loss against Antioch in the Geneva Invitational.

Abbey Houde, Braina Hamilton, and Brandi Hernandez all paced the Maroons offensively with 7 points a piece.

Alden-Hebron 41, Elgin Academy 34: The Hilltoppers (0-1) carried a 2 point lead into the fourth quarter, but could not hold off Alden-Hebron as Elgin Academy was defeated 41-34 in their season-opener at their own tournament.

Seniors Emily Steimle and Alyssa Pena paced the Hilltoppers offensively with 14 and 8 points, respectively.

Trinity 46, Bartlett 31: The Hawks (2-3) suffered a loss to Trinity during competition Friday at the Naperville Central/Benet Tip Off Tournament. Kristin Conniff led Bartlett's offense with 10 points. Lisa Palmer contributed 8 points and 8 rebounds for the Hawks.
