Outlook The Chargers, making their first appearance in IHSA competition, are very young with very little returning varsity experience. "Although most of these girls did get varsity experience last year, our only senior (Barthen) is our only new player this year and hasn't played basketball until this year," said coach Steve Rowland, who is also the school's athletic director. "The girls know they will be challenged this year but are looking forward to the season despite our youth."
