Christie hits for 32 in Rolling Meadows' win

Matt Schoessling and Sean Nolan helped key the fourth quarter for the Rolling Meadows boys basketball team Tuesday night as the Mustangs defeated Wheaton Academy 64-57 in a nonconference game at Meadows.

Max Christie scored 32 points, pulled down 7 rebounds and blocked 2 shots for the 5-3 Mustangs.

Marcus Bult hit six 3-pointers and scored 25 points for the 5-2 Warriors.

"We received key points from Schoessling and Nolan in the fourth quarter and that was big for us," said Rolling Meadows coach Kevin Katovich.

Fremd 45, Grant 39: The visiting Bulldogs were within 2 points of the lead with three minutes left in the fourth quarter but Fremd held them off in the nonconference game. John Smyros had 20 points for the Vikings (6-2) and Dean Ganas 11.

Fremd coach Bob Widlowski now has 297 career wins.

Schaumburg 74, Glenbard North 35: The Saxons improved to 7-3 with the nonconference win.

Wheaton North 67, Elk Grove 29: Elk Grove dropped the nonconference game.
