Fremd goes to 11-0 with win over Elk Grove
Fremd's girls basketball team raised its record to 11-0 on Monday night with a 55-21 Mid-Suburban League crossover triumph over Elk Grove.
Junior guard Emily Klaczek (14 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 5 steals), Caroline Cochran (11 points), Ruthie Montella (6 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals), Angie Zara (5 assists, 3 steals), Olivia Hill (5 points, 7 rebounds), Ella Burns (6 points) and Brianna Wooldridge (5 points, 5 rebounds) helped lead the way for the host Vikings.
Rachel Kandefer (8 points) and Megan Murray (6 points) led the Grenadiers (3-6).
Hoffman Estates 50, Glenbrook North 20: Senior center Raven Wilson scored a game-high 20 points to help lead the host Hawks to the nonconference win. Sophomore Ana Sturgis added 10 points for Hoffman (3-7) while Nora Thomas had 9. They each had a 3-pointer as did freshman teammate Ashley Oliver.
